Salaam and welcome to Muslim Medics!
Muslim Medics (MM) is a student-led society in the Imperial College School of Medicine Students’ Union (ICSMSU). Since 1998, we’ve provided immense levels of educational and social support from freshers through to finals! Throughout your time at Imperial, you’ll be sure to hear all about our famous weekly tutorials, revision days and mock examinations. Being students ourselves, we fully understand the expectations and pressures that will be placed on you but with years of providing excellence in teaching and wellbeing support, we will ensure that all your needs are met. We also host a range of outreach activities including mosque health talks, community cleans ups and blood drives. We also support students applying to medicine through our PotMed branch (Potential Medics), where medical students from all years, including alumni, help out! Muslim Medics is here to support you and help make your journey through medical school easier!
Academic Support
We pride ourselves in the academic support we provide to all years of the medical school. From our renowned weekly tutorials and revision weekends to our clinical mock exams and buddy schemes, we’re here to support you in any way we can.
Outreach
The work we do extends beyond our ICSM community. There are plenty of opportunities for you to volunteer, including at our mosque health talks and annual Believe and Do Good campaign (BADG). We also keep in touch with our alumni and run an annual Life as a Muslim Medic event with inspiring speakers from various fields of medicine.
Wellbeing
Medical school can be tough and we’re here to support you. We aim to promote positive spiritual and mental wellbeing, through various wellbeing talks and events, and our IAM project.
PotMed
Having been through the medical school application process, we all remember how daunting it can be! Our PotMed branch supports aspiring medical students particularly in Years 12 and 13 through our annual conference and Intensives series.
Social
We all need a break from time to time which is why we provide inclusive social activities, aimed at all, spaced out throughout the year. We also have our famous annual MM dinner which helps bring all the members of our large Muslim Medics family together, and gives us a chance to celebrate the success of our final year students.
